Growing up in the 90s, a huge part of my childhood was about the games composed with 8-bit and 16-bit graphics. This brought curiosity to turn various music videos into retro-style videos, reimagining how these would have been if they were released on retro displays like Apple III, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, etc. Also, the experiment was taken one step further to see how the videos would look if each pixel was assigned to an emoji matching its hue/saturation. (shown in work examples below: “Aquaman”, “Earfquake”)
