LemonTree Rebranding Project

LemonTree's mission is to provide a safe and playful space for kids, a social environment for the parents, and serve quality Italian food to families.

The restaurant, located in Korea Town, Los Angeles, consists of a dining hall, a playground, one large private room, and three small private rooms. The restaurant rents out private rooms for private parties.

The target audience of this restaurant is families with kids that are from 4 to 8 years old.

1. Logo

The problems with the previous logo were the crude color scheme and the unorganized graphic elements. It did not reflect the restaurant's identity. The color scheme gave the impression and negative feelings of being unhygienic, unorganized and old. 

For the new branding, bold and vivid colors were picked to portray Lemon Tree as an exciting, friendly and lively place. The typeface in the trademark was customized. Maven Pro Bold was used to create the tagline. Maven Pro font family was chosen as the main typeface. The rounded corners of Maven Pro gave off a warm and safe feeling, and the thickness of the font showed sturdiness.

The various logo forms were created so that the logos could be applied anywhere. The logo with the tagline was designed to be used as the main logo, but I created the logo without a tagline to be used when the logo needs to be smaller than 1.75". The framed logo was created so that it can be used on a light background. 

2. Patterns

The patterns were made with pictures of party items, toys, and simple shapes in order to reflect that this space is to have fun. Simple and clean lines represent the hygiene of the restaurant. The graphic components are designed specifically for LemonTree. The patterns were used to create assets like gift certificates, name cards, admission tickets, and word templates.
